We have finally gotten our therapy schedule worked out, so now, I am trying to use all of our time. Or at least be intentional when we aren't using it. During the PS's Speech therapy time, the 2nd and I made marble mazes. At first, I thought it was a stretch to call these mazes school, but we were able to use different size marbles to discuss weight, inertia, and control.
Nothing says homechool more than having a kitten on your lap while working on hundreds, tens, and ones. We began our new second grade curriculum this week (We use Singapore: Dimension Math).
We also did our Magic Tree House reading. The 2nd wondered out loud, "What is the difference between a Pteranodon and a Pterodactyl?" I am looking for a classification project to work on for this.
