Today seems to be the break in the ice. We had a good school day.
Thank any and all gods that had a hand in that.
We began the day with some outside time where the 2nd found all sorts of worms and snails. It was a fantastic way to begin- who doesn't love recess first?
It certainly made all our other lessons go more smoothly. We began writing letters to friends today.
Both kiddos also have occupational therapy, so while the PS was in her session, the 2nd and I play Legendary. I have been incorporating more planned individual time with each kiddo lately, both because they like it and because I get so caught up in everything that needs to be done that I forget my kids are little individuals with BIG individual personalities.
To finish off our school day, we made a catapult. Reading our Magic Tree House books, we learned about armories, and decided to build something you might find in there. A definite quick favorite.
And this. We are total rule breakers. Our neighborhood was having a special moment tonight when we were on our way home, so we decided that 9:00 was a great time for ice cream instead of bed.
